Bottle. Dark amber colour with a thin frothy off-white head. Toasty and light caramel aroma. Flavour is mostly toasty with some light caramel. Light bodied, easy to drink.

Nothing to get excited about. Looks alright, but lacks flavour, punch and warming effects.

Bottle from Beerhugger. Nice red-brown color. Very little head. Aroma is lightly malted with earthy hops. Smooth and clean tasting. Malt and hop are balanced well. Nice hop bitterness in finish.

Caramel, dark fruit in the aroma. Almost opaque ruby toned mahogany colour with fizzy, off-white, fully-diminishing head - flat and oily appearance. Sweet malt up front with some dark fruit and a curious hint of banana. Roasty in the finish with fair hop bitterness also. Unfortunately flavour dies quickly and I found this less enjoyable with each sip. Light, still and a touch on the watery side. Bottle. Thanks, Lubiere.

On tap at the Manx. Red copper wiht light off white head. Caramel aroma with a whiff of vanilla, and a light smokyness. Sweet malt , light fruitiness, oily mouthfeel, with a nutty bitterness in finale.

Certainly a very well-balanced beer. It has a nice malty quality, balanced by ample hops. A small head and clear reddish-brown describe a glass of this bock. Alcohol is well hidden.

341 ml bottle. Clear dark copper, medium decaying tan head. Bright caramel, ligh wood in the nose...sweet mouthfeel, very smooth, light smoked herbal quality. Not bad at all, but a disappointment after the very good lager.
