473ml can. Average, creamy, off-white head in pint glass. Diminished quickly to decent lacing. Deep tawny brown colour (Lovibond 21/22). Maple scent. Also cookies and figs. Tastes like a million bucks! Detected flavours of licorice, coffee and maple to name a few. All vying for the space on your tongue, and all winning at different points! Initial tasting is heavily unbalanced - that is its sweet, sweet, sweet... With only light bitter play. Full bodied syrupy goodness with lively palate. Top scoring!

Cheers!

Got in a trade long ago. Seems authentic, light raisin, toffee, rye bread, chocolate. Wish I drank it earlier. Very good.

What can I say. Great Beer! Smells like a heavy dark beer. No fruits. Pours a darker golden colour. Taste is hard to put my finger on. A slight hint of hops, but not overpowering. Good amount of carbonation. Slight aftertaste that dissapears quickly. Overall I love this beer. Complex and refreshing at the same time. Not easy to find all year round so stock up. MB

473ml can. Clear deep dark red with a thin foamy off-white head. Flavors are bread, cherry, plum, raisin, molasses and roasted malts with spicy and nutty notes. A bit medicinal and metallic at times. Medium body, soft carbonation, smooth texture.

Strong beer. Bitter, and taste of chocolate lingers in the mouth. Very malty. Mollasses. Moderate carbonation. Fairly heavy. It might be good for a sample of Bock. Better to sip, not to gulp. Memo: Bock is a strong lager of Munich origin in 17C.

Can from the LCBO. Pours a clear dark brown. Nose is full of sweet malt, apples, pears some white wine. Same for taste has some toffee, caramel, banana, bread, brown sugar. Thicker feel. Really nice, probably the best I’ve had from Creemore.

The colour on this beer is absolutely fantastic, though it’s sorely lacking in head (amen to that) and retention. Nose is mostly caramel and...dirt. But good dirt. Fresh dirt. Oh. The panel on the right side informs me the term I’m looking for is "earthy". There’s also a bit of spice in there, but overall the nose is fairly timid. Taste is caramel, burnt sugar and spice, a bit of alcohol, with a finish that’s by no means dry, but is definitely drier than I was expecting (I solemnly swear to stop making dirty parenthetical jokes). Overall it’s nice, and drinkable, but it’s lacking any real punch.

Canned sample. Brownish copper in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of molasses, chocolate, and wet earth. Very malty in the mouth with a dark molasses laden bread dough flavor. A bit of mineral and citrus on the back end. Fairly heavy in the mouth. Ok for the style, but not a favorite.
