The beer smells of deep malts, burnt coffee, and caramel. The taste is very smooth, with notes of rich malts, caramel, chocolate, a tad sour with a dry finish. Excellent beer, and a great starter beer for someone looking to enter into the world of dark full bodied beers.

473ml can. Ruddy copper with little to no head. Great balance of tasty malts, hops, yeast -- roasty, with citrusy sweet notes and an earthy yeast bite. Rich and full of character. Have been anticipating this one for a while and my first impression lives up to those expectations.

2013/04/28 - Pours a clear, dark copper color with a frothy off white head. Aroma is sweet caramel and toasted malts. Taste is caramel, coffee, slight chocolate and a balanced, hoppy tone. Mouthfeel is medium oily with nice carbonation and a drying finish. Well balanced.

Pours a dark copper with blonde head. Tastes of toasted and plum. Smooth earthy hop taste with quick finish. Good beer all in all.

Nice sessionable beer. Deep red in colour. nice head, with nice lacing out of a tall boy can. 6% ABV is barely noticeable. Good body a little thin, but too style being a Bock. Earthy hops. Subtle carbonation. Pretty good all round beer.

Clear deep dark copper, frothy tan head settles and fades. Mild malty sweet aroma. Lightly toasted sweet malt taste, some milk chocolate and caramel. Light and smooth. Softly carbed, medium bodied, lightly hopped. Short sweet dry finish. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Frothy brew with a slight haze and brown colour. Molasses like aroma, dark fruit and roast. more of the same on the palate, medium body and fast finish. This is actually kinda nice.

Bouteille 341ml. De couleur ambrée-brune et claire. Nez malté de caramel aux notes rôties, légèrement fruité (prunes, traces de cerises noires et de raisins) avec de légères notes de chocolat noir et d’alcool. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture un peu huileuse. Goût légèrement fruité aux faibles traces sûres (prunes, très léger de raisins) lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi rapidement d’un goût de caramel et rôti puis en finale l’on retrouve une très légère amertume de houblon. Post-goût légèrement amer de rôti avec des traces de houblon.

Red pour, 1 finger of white head. Aroma of bread, toffee, slightly spicy. Sweet up front, caramel, bread, light bitterness. Medium body, slightly dry finish. A serviceable bock that is easy to drink.

500 mL can. Impressive bock. Pours a dark copper with a head that quickly disappears. Aroma is toasty as so is the taste. Nice balanced finish.
