Malty aroma, reddish colour. Very thin head. Rich malt flavour with sulfury bitterness and a slightly sweet finish. Not bad from a can.

473ml can. Nice deep copper colour. Big creamy yellow head with good retention. Not a very strong nose of caramel. Pretty intense flavour of grassy hops and molasses, with a late bitterness, not the greatest aftertaste though. Not bad, but I would prefer their lager instead.

473ml can. Average, creamy, off-white head in pint glass. Diminished quickly to decent lacing. Deep tawny brown colour (Lovibond 21/22). Maple scent. Also cookies and figs. Tastes like a million bucks! Detected flavours of licorice, coffee and maple to name a few. All vying for the space on your tongue, and all winning at different points! Initial tasting is heavily unbalanced - that is its sweet, sweet, sweet... With only light bitter play. Full bodied syrupy goodness with lively palate. Top scoring!

WheatKing (172) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 25, 2012
Creemore just knows what they’re doing inside and out. Not that much in the way of hops but it doesn’t need it, it’s got that perfect sour/sweetness of bocks with chocolate undertones. It’s too bad about those words in brackets above after the brewery name but it’s hard not to forgive them.

April 20 2012. 473ml can poured into pint glass. Aroma was sweet and spicy fruits. Pours a beautiful ruby red opaque with 1" foam toasty head. Head fades to thin cap but nice thin lacing. Taste is sweet caramel rounded out with a bitter hops to give it well balanced flavour and just enough aftertaste.Syrupy palate finishes dry. Amazing. Amazing. (yes it is that good)

Smells like sugar water with caramelized malt, though the latter is on the downlow. Carbonation fades quickly to leave a flat honeyish kind of ilk that really isn’t that pleasant. Not a great beer. Tall can poured into a glass.

341ml bottle pours a reddish brown color with a 2 finger light tan head that settles to some thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and mild flowery hops. Taste is caramel malty sweetness with hints of chocolate and mild hop bitterness. Medium in body and light in carbonation. A nice representation of the style.

473ml can. Pours a copper ruby colour, sufficient white head and a light oil slick on the sides of the glass. Mild dark lager aroma with dark fruits and toffee malt. Earthy bitterness and toasted grains taste with some sweetness. Really smooth and soft drinkable palate. Overall, very accessible and fantastic mouthfeel.

Mahogany colour with a caramel frothy head which quickly dissipates to a thin lather. Crisp malt aroma with a caramel flavour. Slight bitterness on the palette . Tasty beer.

Sample from can at the Strange Brew Tasting on 02/18/2012. Ruby-brown pour with a medium light beige head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malt, ripe fruit and caramel. Medium body with flavors of bready malt, fruit and a touch of earth. The finish is malty with a sweet aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can shared by a friend. Clear amber pour with a thick tan head. Nose consists of malt, caramel and slight berry. Malty and caramelly flavor with a crisp finish. Decent bock.
