2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewpub on Mon, 10.07.2013. Black pour, small head. Not much aroma to speak of but the flavor was pretty straight-forward; hop profile was kind of dull and there was a bit of breadiness to it. A little bit of viscosity/milkiness, but overall easy to drink. It’s alright.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap, brewpub. Pours a clear mahogany brown body with a small fizzy beige head that fell to a wispy partial covering. The nose is laden with diacetyl, smells like I’m at the movie theatre, a little bit of caramel buried in here, but you have to try hard. The flavor is still laced with butter, but the darker malts cover a bit with some burnt caramel sweetness. Not good, but better than what the nose was indicating. Medium bodied with a little clinginess on the finish, making the diacetyl linger. This one is not good.
