Hoppy, dusty, slightly smokey, sharp malt character, medium body. A solid lager.

The first beer I had when I arrived in New Orleans had to be a Carnival of course! I marked this down as my first place to go when i got to the big easy. This beer is actually pretty good. Only brewed in the Carnival season, it’s a moderately hopped light tan color slightly foamy beer.

Slightly less palatable than their dunkel, but has a more hop presence and a better balance to its character. However, it still felt too light in body to be a true lager.
