Draft. Light brown with medium off white head. Aroma of caramel, Munich/Vienna malts, and fruit esters (dark fruit). Light body, a nice malt body, and some sweetness. Could use more body and malt notes.

Draught @ Brewpub: This one poures a clear mahogany color. There was about 2 fingers of an off white head on it (demerits to the bartender). The head lingers a bit and leaves some lacing. Some malts poking up thru a musty earthiness. No real sweetness to the nose. The taste is good. Caramel malt with a touch of sweetness. Some earthiness and biscuit with a touch of dryness in the finish. Not bad, but I’ve hav better Alts.

Pours a cloudy mahogany reddish brown with sparse but evenly displaced lacing. Aroma is somewhat nutty with a heavy cereal presence. Th flavor is slightly bitter with metallic notes.

On tap at Brewhouse. Pours a cloudy copper with a small off white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a bready malt and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a light bitter malt and dry finish. A decent alt from Crescent City.

1/21/12. On tap at the brewpub as their special brew. Hazy brown pour with a small tan head. Plain aroma of toast and caramel. Slightly sweet caramel flavor with more toast and burnt rocks. Meh.

On tap at the brewery, the "Special Brew" while I was there. Pour is a hazy gold, with no head and no lacing, just a slight oily white ring around the edge of the glass. Aroma is of citrus and white fruit, light malt backbone. Taste is heavy lemon rind, other citrus hops, no real malt to speak of. Mouthfeel is slightly sweet and oily. By far the best beer they had on tap...but thats not saying much
