Weigh the Anchor, Hoist the Sails! Colossal waves and lashing winds – this was the life of the English sailors whose job it was to bring beer to Colonial India. Only an insane amount of hops and high alcohol content helped it to withstand the perilous journey. Drunken Sailor IPA brings this adventure and powerful taste to the 21st century – Ship Ahoy! Hops: Herkules, Citra, Cascade, Simcoe Malt: Pilsener, Munich, Crystal

12 oz bottle in snifter. Dark straw color. Slightly cloudy. Small white head, reduces quick to soapy lacing. Slight citrus grapefruit aroma with slight sweet biscuit malt. Not to complex. Low upfront hop flavors with a bit of pine, slightly malty, lingering citrus and bitter. Medium carbonation, soapy, thin, but drinkable.

sample at mondial de la bière, mtl. slightly hazy medium dark golden with a light beige-orange cap offering god retention and lacing. spicy and peppery hops, omnipresent C hops, berry fruitiness - caramel coming through unfortunately; hint of sweetness - some orange juice; clean american yeast. moderate carbonation, light body, smooth and balanced grassy-spicy-piney finish. nothing juicy but a nice peach purée character. again, another german brew copycatting american ipa, and partially doing it.

Bottle of 33cl, in a Tulip glass; from the fridge. Pale orange IPA, with a citrus hop aroma and a white foamy but thin head. The taste is citra and cascade hops, with a litttle bit of caramel aftertaste. Great German IPA, try it !

From 0.33L bottle, pours light orange colored with a stable, white head. Aroma: citrus fruits, passion fruit. Taste follows the aroma with a fruity taste, medium to heavy bitter with a light malty sweetness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A very good with nice fruitiness!
