COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. It pours an unclear, golden body under a small, dense, white head. Quite boring aroma with some yeast and caramel, and some fruityness. It’s fruity and lightly citrusy and piney in the flavor, with some bitterness. Not much maltyness either. Medium body with a pleasant carbonation level. Short fruity finish with a drying bitterness. Well, I’m certainly not impressed. 140418

Bottle from Amstein - Hazy amber color with a persistent small white head - Aroma is grassy, caramel, malty with hints of citrus - Flavor is citrusy, malty, caramel - Medium body, light bitterness, sweet, soft carbonation - caramel and citrus finish - A lot of residual sugar, a good potential, German Pale ale is a good description

Erzengel (1923) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - MAR 21, 2014

Bottle at home. Hazy orange pour, no head. Aroma is slightly hoppy, grassy, some unfermented sugars and slightly grainy. Flavor is quite sweet, some floral hops and quite messy. Has potential, but needs some finetuning.
