(Bottle). Aroma of tropical fruits, hops and Swedish crayfish broth with dill. Sweet taste of caramel and over ripe tropical fruits such as peach and mango. Dry finish with aromas of grapefruit, pine and sweet caramel. OK beer but in my taste to much flavors of sweet caramel!

Zarkam (421) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 11, 2014
330ml bottle from Gourmondo.de. Hazy darkish amber colour, medium frothy mostly lasting off-white head, good lacing. Moderately malty aroma of hay and caramel with heavy sprucey, citric, grapefruity and resiny hops. Taste is initially moderately bitter and acidic with a hint of sweetness that turns into a long bitter finish with an astringent feel. Full body, alcoholic texture, average carbonation. Nice hopping without excessive bitterness, probably thanks to the decent level of maltiness to back it up which unfortunately led to a bit too much of an alcoholic feel that I’m not fond of in such quantities.

Refreshing, medium drinkability, non-excessive bitterness considering that is a Imperial IPA.

Vestergaard (368) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - SEP 7, 2014
Tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours almost clear orange-amber with a fairly dense, small, white, soapy head. Aroma has minty hops, bitter citrus, sweet caramel malts and some earth. Taste has lots of sweetness and bitterness: Sweet caramel malts with overripe orange and earthy alcohol sweetness, and plenty of bitter hops. The alcohol is a little too in your face for me, and i’m not that much into the earthy style of IIPA. Still somewhat nice balance and fruityness. Pretty full body and medium carbonation.
