Cricket Hill American Ale is an easy drinking “amber” ale with a wonderful balance of caramel sweetness and hop flavor. The aroma has a slight note of citrus and rock candy. There is not an imported ale on the market that tastes this fresh.

12oz bottle courtesy of pineypower. Pours a bright amber/orange with a large off-white head. Aroma of musky fruits, caramel, citrus, and slight hops. Taste of mineral and pine with mineral riding to the end, citrus and caramel. If there were beer flavored multiple vitamins, this would be it.

a good drinking beer but it has a few flaws in it. the beer has a nice assortment of malts with a good a non threatening hops. taste a bit astringent at the end. Very good over all

The aroma is earthy with a hint of smoked peat, metal, and cardboard. The appearance is copper with a small head. The taste is better than the aroma but not by much. The palate is average. Overall the favor is not very good because it is a lot like the aroma.

Again, this company suffers from thin bodied beer and thin taste. Everything from the aroma’s to the tastes are barley noticeable. It looks like they have potential, just use a bit more in the amount of ingreadients you use. Please our palettes.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 10/9/11

Aroma: The aroma is rather light, it has some light toast, caramel, earth, and a touch of fruit
Appearance: Pours a cloudy orange-amber color, with a small white head, and mid lace
Flavor: Tastes fairly balanced, some light sweetness and light bitterness, with a slightly acidic finish
Palate: The body is light-medium, the mouthfeel is a touch dusty, and it has a smooth, lasting finish
Overall Impression: This beer was decent, but not really my favorite. I didn’t hate it, but there is just something a bit off. From the acidic(ish) finish to the dustiness, I have a few gripes. Still though, it isn’t a terrible brew. I’d give it another shot, but I wouldn’t rush out for that opportunity.

Pours amber with a 1 finger, eggshell head that has nice retention and has a little lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, citrus hops and a touch of mineral water. Flavor is caramel, cereal grain, heavy toast, mineral water and light citrus hops. Palate is light bodied and slick, but dry with a copper and iron mineral backing, a bit like I bit my mouth bad enough for it to bleed and then washed it down with a carbonated beverage. Weird, this is really like a middle of the road Amber Ale mixed with a healthy dose of blood minerals.
