ben4321 (2223) - Hoboken, USA - AUG 30, 2011
Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/30/11

Aroma: The nose is malty, some nuts, chocolate, caramel, fruit, and some light hops
Appearance: It pours a clearish brown color with an inch of beige head and spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is malty, with some light sweetness, and light bitterness, fairly balanced
Palate: The body is light-medium, slightly creamy, rather drinkable, and with average carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought this was a fairly well-made Brown Ale. It is fairly sessionable and easy drinking. A solid brew.

Growler… Clear burnt-orange ale with a small, fat-bubbled, white head. The aroma is lightly nutty and mildly chocolaty, but a musky hop component stands out above everything else. Medium to full-bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and modest carbonation. The flavor is well-balanced - earthy, funky bitterness; malty, chocolaty sweetness. Short, moderately bitter finish. Growler courtesy of jcwattsrugger!

Thanks to jcwattsrugger for the share on this growler. Pours hazy brown with a small white head. Nose is some malt, nuts, some definite hops, and hints of cocoa and slight coffee. Flavor is similar with nuts, hops, and cocoa with coffee. Light to medium in body and enjoyable for a brown ale.

Bottle at Dstructo/Daknole tasting. Can’t remember who brought this one. Brown color with hints of coffee and chocolate. Not a lot of notes taken about this one but it didn’t really blow me away.

Pour is a deep brown color with a decent sized tan head which quickly recedes. Nose is of caramel and some roasted nuts. Taste is very much the same with a nice refreshing feel.
