decaturstevo (1193), decatur, Tennessee, USA Jul 6, 2008 btl opened by jcwattsrugger. Caramelly malt aroma with a hint of pepperish aroma. Clean golden/amber pour with a tight foamy off white head. Flavor of semi sweet malt and a good finishing bitter. Just a tad thin but carbonation is good. Very solid refreshing drinker.
Rune (1658), Tromsø, Norway Sep 1, 2008 Hazy, amber body under a skinny strip of foam. Malt-fruity aroma. Late fruits in flavour with maltiness gradually breaking through. Medium to full bodied. Rather heavy to drink (cask-conditioned at The USA & Rest of the world Bar, GBBF, half pint shared with Geir, 06.08.2008) Mes_and_Sim (4360), Highgate, Greater London, England Aug 24, 2008 A Mes rate: gravicask at GBBF. No head but a nice golden brown colour. I’m not sure what was going on here but my notes just say: Nose - reasonably alty. Flavour - not really alty, just a hoppy U.S. I guess that just about calls it but I shall apologise for such pathetic note taking attempts all the same. Sorry. Sigmund (1938), Hafrsfjord, Norway Aug 18, 2008 Updated: Aug 27, 2008Cask at the GBBF 2008, gravity dispense. ABV was 5.5%. Golden brown colour, no head. Fruity mild aroma and flavour, notes of blackcurrant and raspberry leaves. Low bitterness. cgarvieuk (2385), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 17, 2008 Cask, GBBF 08... ambercoloured light haze ... fruity light hop ... malty fruity soft bitterness... harrisoni (5129), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 15, 2008 Cask gravity from GBBF 08.
