12oz bottle sampled at Noog4 thanks to JCWatts. This is a barrel aged version if I understood correctly. Amber pour (though it leans more towards orange I suppose) with wispy lace. Musty subdued fruit with a touch of wood. In fact upon tasting, all you get is wood. That is the primary flavor with barely noticeable fruit and hop notes. Medium semi-dry mouth feel. It did not do it for me.

Poured a copper color with a large white head. Malty caramel aroma with a light citrus hop note. The flavor had a malty start with ca citrus and earthy hop middle. Moderately bitter finish.

had this at the Split Rock beer fest. Not the best I’ve had. tasted flat but I did sampled this one late in the day. I’d give it another try.

Tap at Hop Devil Grill. Pale amber orange beer. Earthy aroma, some orange peel and a lot of apple/pear fruitiness. Flavour is okay, pale malt that seems a bit too bland for this type of brew. Earthy hops, some orange peel. Low to moderate bitterness. An okay brew, but not a great example.

Philly Craft Beer Festival. Small plastic sample cup. Clear amber, minimal head. Mild caramel and faint hops. Light flavor but strong, restrained bittering. Just enough body and carb to make a nice drinker.

hazy, honey colored, this is an off-bitter with a slightly salty, moderately sweet taste. It is rather smooth and easy to drink, but still not among my favorites.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2006 This draft brew from the brewerye poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized yellow brown colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent uncarbonated light yellow-orange colored body and an excellent lacing. The aroma was hoppy malty and caramel malt. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The off tasting flavor contained notes of malt and was metallic. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

On draft at the brewery with Stegosaurus. Amber pour with a beige head. Aroma of citrus, fruit, and hops. The flavor is citrus, fruit, and moderate bitterness. Good beer.
