Cask at GBBF 2010. Supposedly an ESB not an amber ale. A hazy amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Cask@GBBF2009 (as Colonel Blides ESB). Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is wood, some fruits and a bit yeastylike earthy notes. Flavour is quite much the same. Balanced, but quite boring ESB. At GBBF 2009. As the ESB. Amber clear, thin lasting beige head. It’s a pretty close attempt at an English ESB. Some fruit on the malts, bit of pepper on finishing hops. Bit dusty/stale/oxidised.
