COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cricket Hill has done it again! We have brewed the magnificent dark lager that was a favorite of our tour goers in last year’s trial experiment. Our Cricket’s Nocturne combines a mild crispness with subtle toasty, chocolate notes to make it the perfect thirst quencher on days when there’s a chill in the air. It’s a great accompaniment to hearty Autumn or Winter meals, or dessert by the fireside. This American dark lager’s unique balance of easy drinkability and richness of flavor make it a classic Cricket Hill delight!

PorterPounder (4109) - Tallahassee, USA - JAN 16, 2012
Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 650 ml bottle. Pours a cola-like dark brown with and extra frothy off-white head. Fresh lake water aroma, a hint of date like fruity sweetness. Flavor has some black dirt earthiness, a hint of licorice, some molasses-like sweetness. Mouthfeel is about as thick as expected for a dark lager. Does in a pinch.

Bottle. Opens with much more "pfttthh" than expected and pours an extremely heady dark copper brown color with a light tan head. Roasty with some sublte chocolate notes, maybe a little black licorice as well. Have to wait a while for the head to recede to even try to drink. Medium mouthfeel. Roast, dark chocolate, and a slight metallic taste. Not a big fan of this one.
