COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The East Coast Lager is an easy drinking “golden” lager with a wonderful balance of crisp malt flavors and flowery hop finish. Built specifically with very low bitter aftertaste, the aroma is as clean as the taste. A difficult beer to brew because of the gentleness… this beer is magnificent!

100th rating. Had this at the Great Notch Inn on Rt. 46 in New Jersey. The tap said "Great Notch Inn Harley’s Barley Brew by Cricket Hill Brewing Co." On the side it said it was a lager. We don’t know anything else about it right now, going to get in touch with the brewery to find out specifics. Overall a good beer.

On tap at Andy’s. Clear and golden in color. Malty flavor and crisp. Clean tasting. No hop character. Good beer.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2005 Updated rating based on tap and bottle consumption: Clean crisp German helles like brew. No flaws and nice malt character with gentle hops. Nothing that will impress an ale drinker, but a really nice all-malt lager that is great for binge drinking. New Rating.

Clear and golden, not much head. Aroma has very little amounts of everything, with some distant fruity notes, malt, and maybe a touch of corn. Flavor is malty, and crisp, but no hop character. Basically well made, but a bit on the bland side. 5-4-5-4-10

Sampled at the Brandywine beerfest at Iron Hill in Media, Pa. a Nothing special beer. A thin lager. No real taste but a beer.

A disappointment, especially since it’s brewed nearby. They seemed to want to emulate Corona, and I’m not a Corona fan. Maybe it tastes better in Brigantine...

Brewed by my friends babysitters parents. Kinda a 6th degrees of Kevin Bacon thing so I wanted to rate it higher. Thin, starts more than OK yet doesn’t fully deliver anything particular worth noting. Better than the Ameican standards and cool to support anyone local.

An average score is 2.75, and this is an above average lager. Pours canary, with a good head. Aroma of malt and slight hops. Tastes malty, with some slight honey and citrus at the finish.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2004 Clear yellow color. Aroma smells like the Passaic River. Flavor is a bit of mellow burnt firewood. Total swill.

This beer isn't worth the 75 character minimum rating. Thin and watery with foul smells and tastes.

Nooooooo / this was the beast of the beasts this evening. "What happened in my glass?" was pivos first reaction and yes, you get this wired feeling that unvisible elves just farted in your glass, this smell makes you cry. At least it looks like...no leave it like that. This is undrinkable!
