3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 raymow (745) - Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2004
A good beer - but not necessarily a good IPA. By that, I mean that the taste is very good but not very hoppy (which is typical of an IPA). It’s actually sweeter than hoppier. Very drinkable.

Light colored for an IPA. Mysterious taste of coconut(?) with a liberal mix of hops. Very nice taste that settles with you as you get to the bottom of the bottle.

Crazy hops. Fruity. Sweet. Very good. Local brew, on the cheap, I like it. Goodnight.

Seemed much to sweet for an IPA... much more like a Suffolk or Welsh style ale with extra hops

The beer had a body with quite pale golden color and a decent sized lasting head. The carbonation was medium and steady. The aroma was very grassy hops that were a bit sulfurous. and off putting. The taste was much better than the aroma first suggested, with a very sweet malty backbone, buttery diacetyl, and very slight herbal hop bite. A bit thicker in mouthfeel tan most English style IPAs, this beer feels syrupy and a bit too malt accented. The alcohol content is not listed, but with the beer had a nice warming effect on my insides. If they had thrown in some more hops to bring this closer in line with the rest of the beers in the style, this would have fared much better.
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 freekyp (1296) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - AUG 7, 2004
An apricot tart floral nose accompanies this cloudy maize colored brew. A slight white head caps the brew for mere seconds before fading into nothingness. Sharply bitter with slight nutty maltiness playing second fiddle. Long sharp bitter finish carries this one home. A slight sweetness arrives mid-glass. Pretty sure the hops used in this brew are not Cascade as are many American brewed IPAs. This one is broadly in the Engligh IPA style. With a bit more refinement this brew could be really great.

NJ Brewers Fest. Clear gold color with nice floral hop aroma with a bit of malt. Hop bitterness blankets the tongue immediatly making me like it right away. Malty smoothness is next to the party making this not only refreshing but making me want more. Very nicely done.

Had this one on tap at the NJ Beer Fest. It had a nice clear yellow appearance with light caramel aroma. The hops was weak for the style of beer. Dissapointing to my palate.
