smashteroid (167), USA Feb 14, 2007 served bottled. pours amber in color, with a foamy white head. smells nicely of citrus and hops. taste is hoppy, nothing revelatory but a good-enough overall beer.
BeerHawk (801), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Sep 22, 2008 Hand bottled and shared by decaturstevo. Poured amber with an off-white head that left light lacing. Hoppy aroma of citrus with a caramel backing. The flavor finds a light hop bitterness that carries some caramel with it. Light body and smooth. Decent overall. ross (1582), charlotte, North Carolina, USA Sep 22, 2008 Bottle from Stevo. Pours out a yellowish color with a white head on it. Smell is plenty hoppy, grassy, with plenty of citrus and some orange peel in it. Taste is smooth and somewhat bitter, sweet but not too sweet. Steve gave me a bottle of this to try, so when I drink that one this week I will update this rating. Its not a bad beer, surprisingly rated lower than I thought it should be. Butters (572), Temporarily in Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 20, 2008 Oxidationfest Tasting at illinsmitty’s. Pours clear gold with ring of off-white head. Aroma is faint hop. Flavor has a punch of hops. Not particularly wellbalanced. Kind of watery. Nothing special here. keepersj12 (462), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Sep 6, 2008 Pretty bland all in all. Watery feel and a malty sweetness. Not a lot of hop bite though. About average. Underhook (160), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Jul 12, 2008 Overall it’s a good beer, but fails as an IPA. Doesn’t have the grassy, hoppy aroma that I’ve come to expect from other IPAs. Pours a cloudy pale yellow, small white head. Lightly citrus taste that lacks a hoppy punch. It’s really not a bad beer, easy to drink and tastes good, but not a good IPA.
