3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Chickencoop (188) - California, USA - JUL 31, 2011
Light amber pour, light frothy head. Some sweetness, corriander on the nose. Taste was a bit light, but not off-putting. A very drinkable beer, perfect session beer.

Spice and wheat in the aroma and cloudy orange in appearance. The flavor is of light yeast, spice and bananas. Sort of an odd style of ale to term a summer ale but it wasn’t bad, although it doesn’t get near the flavor of the top Belgian Ales.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 heemer77 (5008) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JUL 19, 2011
Dark orange bronze body out of the bottle with a wispy thin off white head. The nose has some strong funky leather and a little hint of barnyard. There is also some apple and clove. The taste is pretty sweet with sugar and some bread crust. There is also some pine bark in the finish. Interesting and easy to drink, this is not cloying. Just enough funk to maintain the drinkability.

Enjoyed my 2nd six pack of breakfast ale. FIrst one suffered from bad bottling run and was flat. They offered to replace and just so happens the brewery is only 20 minutes from me. 2nd was much better. Classic Belgian ale. Wheat, spices with light-medium mouthfeel. nice finish with a touch of hops. good drinking beeer

Pours a cloudy orange color with a white head. Aroma of citrus, Belgian yeast and spice. Lots of Belgian yeast and spice flavor with some citrus flavor. Decent beer.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 ChainGangGuy (4120) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JUN 18, 2011
Appearance: Pours a hazed, orange-amber body with a medium-sized, suds, just off-white head that’s gone fairly fast.
Smell: Aroma is lightly bready, slightly tart, and with a bit of ruptured fruits and spice.
Taste: Lightly bready, faintly grainy pale malts with a twinge of caramel, candyish sweetness, then a flash of rippling tartness, with a vague taste of apricot and peach juice. Tiny pinch of spice. Dried orange peel. Lightly bitter. Tartish, fruity finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: This brewery is not off to a rousing start with me. SBA just doesn’t come together for me, flavorwise, remaining fairly noncohesive and an overall disappointment.

from Mondial de la Bière, Strasbourg - fully cloudy orange in colour and very foamy; a long lasting creamy beige foam with a nice lacework; yeasty nose with notes of oranges and honey; velvety palate and fairly acidic; long aftertaste of oranges, marzipan and yeast

This was a pretty normal American Blegian ale. The aroma was of corriander and a hint of orange. The beer our overflowing with carbonation and head. Decent.
