Rich, smoky aroma has notes of licorice and molasses plus a waxy hint like one of those old fat crayons. It pours a deep, warm sable with a fairly thick, if not too persistent, light tan head. Flavor is what I expect from a good porter: malty, smoky, with notes of molasses and burnt wood and hints of licorice and unsweet chocolate. Thick, rich texture has plenty of fizz and leaves a smoky, tingly finish. If you love porters, look for it.

Pours dark brown with a thin mocha head. Aroma is milky with a bit of roastiness and a slight "off" scent. Flavor is soury/roasty...odd. mouthfeel is medium with a sour/roasty finish. Dunno if this is the intended brew or something is infected...

Initial aroma of soy sauce and/or sesame oil, kinda has an asian aroma... quite roasty aroma once i get past the asian notes... opaque black with a nice small tan head that fades relatively quickly... average to decent lacing... some burnt roasty fruity flavor along with more notes of nutty soy sauce and/or sesame oil... kinda weird...

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a white foam head. Aroma of roast and caramel. Has a sweet to sour roasty taste with caramel notes. The sour is a bit off. Not sure if this is the intended taste or if my bottle was infected.

Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle. Solid coffee and chocolate and coffee aroma. Dark brown pour, nice thick mocha colored pour with an off-white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Solid chocolate and coffee aroma. Flavor is nice and thick and oily with solid chocolate and coffee notes. Thickish, rich mouthfeel. Very nice.

bottle. deep brown with ruby highlights and almost no head. tobacco and tootsie roll nose. an un-sweet porter with molasses, tobacco, a bit of ash. lightish body and silky. low abv, light body, and low sweetness make this a good quantity drinking beer.
