On tap at Stag’s Head (8/25/12). Aroma of caramel and malt. Taste is sweet caramel, malt, nuts, plums/prunes, and a touch of molasses. Overall, a good representation of the style.

19.02.2015. On tap at Rattle ’N’ Hum, New York. Dark brown colour with off-white head. Very nice rich malty flavour. Dark malts, caramel and sweet chocolate. Notes of red berries and some fruity stuff. Very nice beer. Aftertaste is moderate soft bitterness and sweet malts. Strong, rich and with lots of good flavours. Very good beer.

Draft. Pours clear brown with minimal head. The aroma has brown sugar, spices. The taste has dark fruit, sweet molasses.

8/06/2011: Cricket Hill Belgian Dubbel... Aroma: Toasty maltiness. Appearance: Golden-orange-amber color; mostly clear; minimal beige head. Flavor: Really nice fruitiness with some banana, bubblegum, subtle spice and chocolate, plenty of alcohol. Palate: Medium to medium-full body; smooth, calm mouthfeel. Overall: Very nice, BIG Dubbel.

Not sure if I drank a different version but it s a dubbel. At stags head part of flight. Pours brown with finger head. Nose is nutty and fruity. Tastes of chestnuts, toffee, plums, molasses, slight soy sauce, and wood. Decent carbonation and pleasant finjsh

Growler shared at Natifest ’11. Poured clear reddish brown color with an average off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Very complex cotton candy and yeast aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Full complex fruit and candy sweet flavor with solid sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Very good brew.

Copper/amber pour with white thin head and lace. Aroma of brown sugar, a bito wheat and caramel malt. Brown sugar, rock candy, Belgain yeast, and a hinto abv. Medium body with good carbonation. Nice beer.

Full flavored and enjoyable. An inviting balance between the chocolate malts and banana esters. Alcohol sneaks up on you, probably because it’s hard to drink it in moderation. Tastes a little young, but otherwise a nearly textbook example of the style.
