Draft at rattle with clockwork. Pours a deep, hazy amber brown body with thin off white lacing. Aroma is rich, smoked meats - very nice smokehouse flavor. Mouthfeel is meaty with notes of smokes meat, wood and roast. Nice.

Draft at Ginger Man with a few Ratebeer folks. Pours deep brown with a thin beige head. Lightly roasted malts, some like smoked notes, rye, and spicy grainy notes. Really smooth and drinkable. Damn good.

Growler shared by Heemer77 by way of jcwattsrugger! Thanks guys!
Pours a very deep red with a small tight head that leaves a nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is very fruity & very smoky. Some mild earthiness, some caramel and a bit of chocolate make this very appetizing.

The flavor is a touch bitter and a touch sweet but the dominant flavor is the smokiness, which is really not overbearing... but plays well with the other flavors. As it warms more dark chocolaty malt comes through. It reminds me of a smoky barleywine without the alcohol character.... if that makes sense.

Very enjoyable.

Growler courtesy of jcwattsrugger. This poured very dark brown, nearly black with a khaki head on top. Tons of smoke up front in the nose along with some dough. There was also the obvious rye spicing. This tasted strongly of smoke, but if mellowed with more drinks. There was also lots of caramel and a little bit of grass. Nicely done and definitely for smoke lovers.
