2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Bif (1021) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Pours a golden color with a thick head that fades slowly to bits of lacing. Mild aroma of some citrus malt sweetness and grain. Fairly bland taste of malt sweetness and grain,. Mild bitterness and a dry finish. Light body and smooth, not a lot here. Non-offensive Pale Lager on and ocean of lager beers.

i feel like this is a hard beer to rate - i signed up to this site to give it a go. if you’re sitting around being discerning and taking in all the flavours of a beer, you’re likely to be a bit underwhelmed with this one. it’s not meant for that.
to me, it’s basically the boutique version of an australian bitter. except with a bit less of the harsh bitter, and just a hint of hop/wheat.
drink it very cold. also i don’t think it wants to be poured in to a glass - it tasted a bit flat and got warm too quick when i did that.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 Rangi (381) - NEW ZEALAND - NOV 20, 2012
Does what it sets out to do as described on the bottle. Dry and refreshing no more.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Jade (380) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 31, 2012
Clear golden, moderate carbonation thick white head. Hard to get much from the aroma due to the head. Wheaty, floral touches. Reasonably pleasant flavour, a little watery but certainly drinkable.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 alang51 (20) - Essendon West, AUSTRALIA - FEB 8, 2012
Nice aroma but carbonation a bit high. Floral after taste. Reasonable malt finish. From a beer boys pack.
2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Rosslew (35) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 3, 2011
What first hits is the lovely aroma from bottle smell. Doesn’t much head at all. Very much on front of tongue. No after-taste. Be good to drink on very hot afternoons.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 Davros (1473) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 21, 2011
Pours gold with a small quickly fading head.
Nose is very mild with a little sweet malt and a hint of corn. No hops.
Very similar flavours, light sweet malt and no bitterness.
Carbonation is too high, way too high.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 bluebetty (1019) - AUSTRALIA - JAN 30, 2011
Bottle. Pours a very light golden straw with a small billowy white head. Falls away super quickly to nothing. Aromas are super bland. Struggle to pick up much at all. Slightly floral hops and bugger all else. Flavours are not much better. Very dry and bland. Thinnish mouthfeel. Yep not that great.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 ALLOVATE (2098) - Butler, AUSTRALIA - DEC 20, 2010
Medium gold and sparkling. Barely manages anything beyond an island of white bubbles centre of the glass for a head. Slightly vegetal, boiled cabbage nose with a hint of primed, yeasty bread dough. Husky grain, carbonic acid and damp cardboard unfortunately in the mouth. Slightly soapy and metallic back end. Some Amarillo citrus tones deep, so feint it’s as if it has been lagered out of it along with the malt flavours. Very light bodied, soda-water like and very dry. Crisp finish, marred by the soapiness. Not too good at all, but I suppose its on a par with other dry lagers from Oz!! (33cL, no date stamp, Dan Murphy’s)
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 GT2 (5657) - Riverslime, California, USA - NOV 20, 2010
Tap at Royal Saxon in Melbourne. Pale Lager Rating #100. Pour is clear yellow to near light orange with a medium, yellowish, semi-rocky head. Pretty good layered lace. Aroma is sugar cane, grain, quite a step up from soap and dishwater. Taste is sugary, grainy, mostly bland, but inoffensive and never devolving into a soapy mess. Amarillo hops absent unfortunately.
