3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
You can tell that a lot of attention has been given to quality with this cider. The flavor is the perfect balance of sweet and tart, with a rich aroma and mellow finish. The addition of organic honey really accentuates the flavor, giving it more complex notes and a satisfying, clean flavor. This is truly an artisanal product, and motivates me to try the other Crispin varieties of hard cider.

Rated based on notes taken 13 Apr 2014 -- I think Crispin makes the best ciders, consistently.

Pale, cloudy yellow, flat. Smells just like fresh apple juice. Nice sweet and tart flavor. Completely masked 6.5% ABV. Good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Aroma is a lot like sauvignon blanc with an apple character; after it warms a little bit, floral notes come out. Pours a hazy greenish-white color, almost like a sauv blanc but even paler; no head. Taste is sweet and tart, dry; honey is detectable in the finish. Carbonation is fairly soft, body medium. Nice cider, although 22 oz is a bit much for one person at one sitting. 12 oz would have worked better for me.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
"simple and straight forward but refreshing, aromatic and tasty. the alcohol was just ever so slightly too apparent, especially for only being 6.5%, but this would make a nice summer staple. just enough honey to notice, and tartness to balance."

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This was poured into a pint glass and a wine glass.
The appearance was the same in both: somewhat cloudy yellow color with a slight transparency about it to allow light streams of carbonated bubbles to be seen rising.
The smell had some tart apples and some sweet apples with a slight oakiness coming about it.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was definitely felt as there’s a harshness that can’t be missed.
Overall, hmmm....actually an okay cider. I know it says to pour over ice but I wanted to see this as it really is. Though I won’t seek it out again, if I ever did have it again, maybe I’ll pour over ice to see if that does anything.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a lightly cloudy yellow almost green color with no head. A sweet oaky apple cider nose. The flavor is super sweet very tannic apples, sugary at times, a bit of vanilla. Odd. Not very natural tasting. Hmmm. I love me some honey crisp. but this is way too sweet.

Look, apple cider is not in my wheel house, but tonight I had a craving. Crispin’s "Honey Crisp" could almost be a chardonnay; it’s replete with apple, pear, and honey notes--and yes, it does finish crisp. Nice change up during the hot summer months.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy yellowish-white pour. Appearance of a white wine. Apple juice flavor, yeast character, some honey for sure. Zesty. Over ice, it’s mellowed out and less sweet. It has other wine-like features. Alcoholic for a cider. More zest. And sweet apples.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
650ml bottle into a shaker glass; served cold.
Aroma: Fantastic amounts of pears and apples. Exceptionally juicy; the smell baptizes the room. Not a lot of honey sweetness comes through, but there is definitely a massive amount of fruity juice.
Appearance: Quite pale, straw, yellow-green pastel colored, hazy body. No head or cap at all. No lacing. Low visible amount of carbonation.
Taste: Delicious, juicy apples. No bitterness at all. A teeny bit of sweetness, and a bit of tart flavor towards the back of the palate.
Palate: Ultralight body, but not watery. Incredibly low carbonation. This cider’s finish is of medium length and ends on a succulent apple note
Overall: A nice little find. I thought Angry Orchard was the cider all others would be judged by, but this one is a different approach that gave me some welcome perspective. Light, crisp, refreshing, and able to be minimally sweet and not cloying at all.
