3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap pours cloudy orange with very little head. Aroma is all apple with a sugary sweetness and lively carbonation. The taste is rich and full like a real cider should be but it had a couple twists with the yeast contending for flavor. It ends a bit muddied with a variety of sweet sugary apple and floral flavors but is filling with a soft warmth. Ok but not my favorite from Crispin.

This isn’t for me. A nice cider, no doubt, but just not my style. Oh well, I do enjoy their honey crisp.

From a bottle poured a dark amber/brown color with no head. Malty slightly sweet flavor with a quick finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle… Clear dirty-orange cider with a quickly dissipating, bubbly head. There is more stout and molasses than apple character in the aroma – hearty and earthy with a note of beef bouillon. Medium-bodied with buzzing carbonation. The flavor is an entertaining marriage of sweet apples, sorghum molasses, dry stout and malic acid. Finishes crisp and refreshing with a hint of molasses. Crazy interesting!

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
An amazingly rich chestnut colour. A sweet and beery aroma. Holy crud this is bizarre. It’s like a beef stock with an apple floating in it. Dry and bitter with a real earthy depth. That is a full on stout yeast. It’s just got guinness written all over it. There is an underlying cherry fruitiness but dang this is leathery. This is what I imagine tongue tastes like.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep brown with a few bubbles. Maple syrup, light apple, and sticky. Easy on the palate, heavy maple flavor, not enough apple, light finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy dark gold with a wispy head. Smells like straight up fresh apple juice. Flavor is fruity and sweet, finishes dry with low carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
interesting cider here. aroma is more scotch ale than anything else, with molasses and caramel and malt. flavor is an interesting mix of cider and burnt sugar. almost beer-like, doesn’t have the bright cider freshness that other crispins have, but it’s tasty, and it grows on you.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark amber color with a small white head. I get a lot of apples, as well as some grape and a little bit of molasses. The apple notes in the flavor are complimented by molasses, charred oak and a little bit of maple. The alcohol is very apparent and the cider is a little bit boozy. Very dry.
