3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours to a murky ripe pear and mustard colored body with no head. The murkiness looks like unfiltered apple cider but kind of unappealing in this format. The aroma is very interesting. Sweet apple cider with some white wine notes. Like a Viognier. The flavor is dry and winey. Also like a white wine. Viognier and sweet simple syrup. But, in a good way. Semi-dry wine essentially.

Code looks like it reads 14012, but I donít think itís 1.5 years old, who knows though.
Appearance: Hazy as heck lemonade colored body with no head at all a second after the pour.
Aroma: Very slightly tart apples along with a slight sweetness. Very refreshing smelling with a hint of syrup sweetness.
Taste: Hints of everything to make one cohesive drink. I get crisp semi-sweet apples, hints of maple syrup and a touch of banana on the finish. Very nicely balanced and refreshing.
Palate: Crisp and refreshing.
Overall: This is a nicely crafted hybrid cider with good qualities from all ingredients used. I could definitely throw back a few of these if it were in a six pack. Please do so Crispin.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rated on 6-27-2010 (Bottle) This cider has lively, fast rising carbonation in its appearance. The aroma is yeasty, sweet and apples. The taste is sweet, yeasty and tart apples. The palate is tingly and this cider is medium bodied. This is a very quaffable cider, not overly apple tasting, worth trying and a cider I would drink again. It is very refreshing tasting on a hot summer day.

Part of a side-by-side cider tasting, thanks David! This was the best of the night, and possibly the best cider Iíve ever had. Poured from big brown bottle into a snifter glass. It poured a slightly hazy golden colour. Predictable aromas and flavours of fermented apple juice, plus the complex Trappist ale esters and phenols: black pepper, clove, nutmeg, coriander, tart cherry. Still some sweetness, not too dry. Light body, spritzy carbonation but no metallic bite. Delicious, highly recommended.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy dark yellow with a touch of fizz. Aroma of a freshly cut apple with a little bit of sourness, possibly from the yeast. Subtly sweet and drinks easily (especially for the amount of alcohol), with light carbonation, a clean mouthfeel, and a fairly dry finish. Would drink again.

Apple on aroma. Drinks like a beer. Alot more of a sipper this one compared to the only other ciders I've had...with this cider I wish it was deeper... More complexity....I wish I could pick up on the Belgian strain better and add some of what it brings...I like it ... I'm a cider newbie

22oz bottle. Pours hazy greenish yellow with some fizz. Aroma is golden apples, caramel and some yeast. Taste follows suit with a nice semi-dry finish. Very easy to drink and hides the ABV quite well. Not bad for $4.50 a bottle.

Tasting at RW&B. Bottle->stem. Hazy light gold with no head. Nice sweet apples and Belgian spice in an interesting blend. Very crisp, enjoyable. Best cider I have had to date, though that is not necessarily saying much.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bomber. Hazy, unfiltered, creamy yellow-tan body. Not much of a head, some soda-like carbonation bubbles. Big apple aroma, some alcohol. I donít really get much Trappist yeast character. The maple syrup adds some depth. Not really my favorite cider, too big to session on, and not enough depth to really sit and savor. Maybe nice to help out with palate fatigue, or flavor monotony, but this isnít one Iíd seek out again.

bomber - nose is basically a dry Champagne. Sips adds sour apple. Crisp. Goes down easily, but a little to artificially sweet. A decent cider.
