COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Experience a sweetly floral to herbal aromatic bouquet and an elegant yeasty flavor with a sustained mouth-feel that develops complexity on the palate. Naturally fermented with Belgian Trappist yeasts using a premium apple juice blend, not from concentrate, with no added malt, spirit or grape alcohol. The Saintís artisanal Cloudy Filtration style uses racked unfiltered apple wine smoothed with pure organic maple syrup, a touch of apple juice, no added sugar, colorants or sorbate or benzoate preservatives, and is filtered cold for bold, crisp refreshment.

"nice cider here. we started with the honey crisp, which was nice n simple, with nice being the key word. the yeastiness and slight maple syrup sweetness added to the flavor, body and complexity while still showcasing the slightly tart apples. well done. looks like a weak wit beer though."

Unclear pale straw pour. Aroma has some apple, light yeast. Flavor is similar. Not overly sweet thankfully. Not particularly distinctive or character-full. This didnít do much for me.

Bottle from Wegmans. Cloudy golden, glowing, effervescent. Dry apple nose, leaves, touch of lemon. Complex flavor, ripe apples, nice tartness, some minerals, a touch of maple syrup, yeasty spices coming from the Trappist yeast. Rich but not overly sweet. Nice tang. Good body. Nice stuff.

Cloudy apple cider. Can really taste the maple notes. Pours cloudy blonde. Tastes wonderful refreshing on a hot day.

Pours to a murky ripe pear and mustard colored body with no head. The murkiness looks like unfiltered apple cider but kind of unappealing in this format. The aroma is very interesting. Sweet apple cider with some white wine notes. Like a Viognier. The flavor is dry and winey. Also like a white wine. Viognier and sweet simple syrup. But, in a good way. Semi-dry wine essentially.

Code looks like it reads 14012, but I donít think itís 1.5 years old, who knows though.
Appearance: Hazy as heck lemonade colored body with no head at all a second after the pour.
Aroma: Very slightly tart apples along with a slight sweetness. Very refreshing smelling with a hint of syrup sweetness.
Taste: Hints of everything to make one cohesive drink. I get crisp semi-sweet apples, hints of maple syrup and a touch of banana on the finish. Very nicely balanced and refreshing.
Palate: Crisp and refreshing.
Overall: This is a nicely crafted hybrid cider with good qualities from all ingredients used. I could definitely throw back a few of these if it were in a six pack. Please do so Crispin.

Rated on 6-27-2010 (Bottle) This cider has lively, fast rising carbonation in its appearance. The aroma is yeasty, sweet and apples. The taste is sweet, yeasty and tart apples. The palate is tingly and this cider is medium bodied. This is a very quaffable cider, not overly apple tasting, worth trying and a cider I would drink again. It is very refreshing tasting on a hot summer day.

Part of a side-by-side cider tasting, thanks David! This was the best of the night, and possibly the best cider Iíve ever had. Poured from big brown bottle into a snifter glass. It poured a slightly hazy golden colour. Predictable aromas and flavours of fermented apple juice, plus the complex Trappist ale esters and phenols: black pepper, clove, nutmeg, coriander, tart cherry. Still some sweetness, not too dry. Light body, spritzy carbonation but no metallic bite. Delicious, highly recommended.

22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy dark yellow with a touch of fizz. Aroma of a freshly cut apple with a little bit of sourness, possibly from the yeast. Subtly sweet and drinks easily (especially for the amount of alcohol), with light carbonation, a clean mouthfeel, and a fairly dry finish. Would drink again.

Apple on aroma. Drinks like a beer. Alot more of a sipper this one compared to the only other ciders I've had...with this cider I wish it was deeper... More complexity....I wish I could pick up on the Belgian strain better and add some of what it brings...I like it ... I'm a cider newbie ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
