Kinda cool, this was cracked by Kyle, I lost it and then found the bottle later. I really dug it. A nice nose of intense apple sweetness. The flavor doesn’t match a ice cider (what does?), but is damn good with a burst of sugary sweet apples, light dry earthy yeast and more sugar. Damn nice.

The Saint indeed! Pours deep gold with a slight head, aroma is sweet apple and honey. Tastes of balanced sweet and tart fresh apple, with some complex maple syrup and Belgian yeast flavors (fruity esters). This is really good stuff, has the right balance of flavors, highly recommended.

Pours a deep golden/ orange color with almost no head. Nose immediately reminds me of sake. Nose is fruity yet musty and sweet with some woody maple flavors. Thinner mouthfeel. Not bad.

Hazy yellow. Looks like a hefe with no head. Stinky aroma. Sweat, gym clothes, etc. The flavor is sweet, then finishes bland. Overall sweet like a lemon lime soda gone flat. It does have a good bitter quality and is easy to drink.

Bottle. Musty, yeasty, earthy/woody, light apple, and maple aroma. Hazy pale yellow with a ring of white bubbles. Sweet maple, tart apple, earthy yeast flavor. Light body, very slight dry finish.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (6919) - London, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2012
Bottle shared with family at the cabin, NH. Pours very cloudy (end of bottle) orange-yellow with a small, white head. Big fruity nose, hints of apple and alcohol. Big sweet flavor, faintly tangy with a bit of honey on the back of the tongue. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Sweet finish with very moderate warmth, sugary apples, subtle yeasty dryness and musk, light notes of sweet maple syrup. Nice stuff overall.

Bottle shared with my wife on the train on the way home from seeing Louis CK. Color is a fairly hazed straw gold with a thin white head. Soft musky yeast, maple, Belgian yeast, musk. Medium bodied, sweet, soft yeast. Tart apple, a bit of maple. Long warm alcohol, soft and mellow never hot. Sweet and tasty, nice musk into the finish. This is great, the maple is noticeable, but never overpowering.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2013 22 oz bottle. Murky off-yellow, looks a bit like banana juice. No head (but I’m not deducting points). It’s actually very good. More sweet than tart, but not like fruit juice or soda. The apples come through and just faint amounts of Belgian yeast esters and maple. I don’t sense alcohol. Tasty yet still thirst-quenching.

Pours opaque yellow with yeast sludge at the bottom. Very fizzy. Tastes like apples plus a wheat beer-like yeastiness, some cloves, maybe a little banana. Pretty good.
