COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Experience a sweetly floral to herbal aromatic bouquet and an elegant yeasty flavor with a sustained mouth-feel that develops complexity on the palate. Naturally fermented with Belgian Trappist yeasts using a premium apple juice blend, not from concentrate, with no added malt, spirit or grape alcohol. The Saint’s artisanal Cloudy Filtration style uses racked unfiltered apple wine smoothed with pure organic maple syrup, a touch of apple juice, no added sugar, colorants or sorbate or benzoate preservatives, and is filtered cold for bold, crisp refreshment.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with no head. The aroma is apple and funk. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet apple and tart finish. A good cider from Crispin.

Bottle into a tulip. Pours cloudy bright yellow. No head, light carbonation. Sweet, spicy and lightly floral aroma. Taste is awesome. Lightly tart, a bit peppery, perfect level of yeastiness, fresh juicy apple. Finish is a balance of sweet and crisp. Incredibly drinkable and refreshing.

Bottle. 4/22/13. Pours a hazy golden with no head. Aroma is apples, Belgian yeast, caramel, banana, nutty, wine-like; smells like a candy apple. Taste is very sweet, some sour, vinous; apples, caramel, yeast. No lacing. Medium-low carbonation; seems appropriate. Mouth feel is slick, wet; refreshing. Very sweet; fast approaching cloying. The caramel imparted by the maple syrup is nice. The Trappist yeast also adds a nice element. It’s just so sweet. Drinkable, but so sweet...

22 oz bottle. Pours a bright lemonade yellow with a little white fizz. Aroma of maple, soured apple, and yeast. Very odd aroma. Taste like sour apple baby food. Thick and rich. Has a bit if a boozy taste. Maple syrup comes through as it warms. Subtle at first and then you can really taste and smell it. Taste of other fresh fruits as well, pears and bananas. This reminds me of giving my son his first baby foods. Nice sweet finish. Very enjoyable on this hot night.

Bottle from perfect pours. Looks like a lemon’s bath water with no head and little carbonation. Slight apple notes on the nose. Somewhat tart on the tongue. Doesn’t have a ton of apple flavor. Eh!

I like the contributions of the sweet maple syrup here. I always forget to disperse the sentiment... Remember to invert before pouring!

Bomber to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a transparent yellow with low carbonation and no real head or lacing. Smells and tastes solid; sweet AND dry with a nice, balanced maple influence that’s good on the palate. Good cider!

Aroma is mainly apple with some earthy tones. Hazy yellow-orange complexion. Sweet, but not cloying, and a little tart. Med-full bodied with a low level of carbonation, and finishes pretty clean, with some funky, earthy flavors lingering.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with almost no head. Nose is very slightly sweet and strongly apple. Taste is a bit dryer than a lot of ciders, which I think is a good thing. Very easy drink.
