COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Experience a sweetly floral to herbal aromatic bouquet and an elegant yeasty flavor with a sustained mouth-feel that develops complexity on the palate. Naturally fermented with Belgian Trappist yeasts using a premium apple juice blend, not from concentrate, with no added malt, spirit or grape alcohol. The Saint’s artisanal Cloudy Filtration style uses racked unfiltered apple wine smoothed with pure organic maple syrup, a touch of apple juice, no added sugar, colorants or sorbate or benzoate preservatives, and is filtered cold for bold, crisp refreshment.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear golden pour with a soapy white head. Very odd aroma. Smells like a combination of yeast and garlic. Very odd. But the flavor is much different. Once you get past the aroma there’s a very sweet and tart apple flavor with a mild sweetness on the aftertaste. Unusual, but rather good.

Thanksgiving flavors, blunt/cheesy/acidic aroma. Thick, sweet finish. I taste roast turkey in this beer.

Refrigerated 22 oz. bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours hazy pale golden with white head that dissapates quickly. No lacing, medium body, low carbonation, and light nice apple aroma. Taste is complex apple, honey, hint of alcohol, and a hint of maple syrup. Be sure to turn the bottle up side down a couple times before opening.

Pours A slightly hazy yellow-gold with a thin soapy white head that fades quickly. Aroma is woody notes, dark fruit, stone fruit, fresh apples and a sharp, earthy black truffle like note. Flavor is apple wine, maple syrup, plum and again that sharp, earthy truffle-like note. Medium bodied with a creamy, slightly oily feel, light, but well blanketing carbonation and almost neutral, sticky and slightly oily finish. Good stuff, not really what I was expecting, but in some ways better. I would really love to get my hands on a couple more bottles of this to braise some pork loin and then drink with said pork loin, sounds phenomenal.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle is hazy orange-red with thin white head, aroma brought notes of maple syrup and apples, some slight dark fruits with a hint of raisin, touch of pear, hints of biscuit. Taste is a mix of sweet raisin, maple, apple and honey notes, hints of oak and dry spice, finishing fairly sweet but tasty.

hazy, cloudy, orange/brown. Very attractive. aromas of apple orchards, a bit of spice from the yeast, subtle vinous notes. Flavors follow the nose; I’m not getting a lot of maple syrup but for the dryness in the finish, which is quite nice. I enjoy this a lot, and buy it every time I see it.

This one got it right, and dared to mix up the hard cider formula with Belgian yeast. Pours turbid straw with white head and fizzy carbonation. Gets downright pineapple juice colored and turbidity on the final pour. Nose is yeasty funky fruity apples, with a flavor like the aroma, with the Belgian yeast absolutely rocking the world of the apples in a great way. Just great stuff. Not super sweet, mind you, but gives a complex flavor unlike any cider i have ever had.

Poured from 22oz bottle - Wanted a break from beer, and I thought this cider would do. Much more nuanced than cheaper, and much more sweeter, ciders. Initially all green apple, but does fade to a "crisp" honeydew / maple. I actually like this "micro" cider, but not something I would consider picking up all the time at $6 a bottle.

3/5/12. 22oz bomber. Slightly hazy, mostly clear, golden pour with no head. Tart apple aroma with just a bit of yeast. Sweet apple flavor as well, almost cider like, with just a touch of yeast character. Tasty, but I was hoping for a bit more out of the Trappist yeast.
