Aroma is apples, along with whiskey and slight alcohol notes. The flavor is apples, a definite undercurrent of whiskey, mild fruit notes and a slightly alcoholic/tart finish.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Chuckaduck (490) - Kentucky, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Bottle. 5/10/13. Pours a clear golden with a very bubbly, quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is excellent; apple, fruit, bread, bourbon, rye, wine, banana, caramel. Taste is nice, full flavored; apples and bourbon are evident, hints of rye, caramel, candi sweetness. The barrel aging is highly successful here. Spotty lacing. Medium-high carbonation; works. Chewy mouth feel. Excellent. Very tasty, full-bodied, full-flavored, top-notch cider. The barreling was such a good idea.

Nice bottle design. When you pour this beer into a tulip it at first doesn't look appealing because of the "floaties". Once you smell this cider the appearance is an afterthought. It has wonderful bourbon notes as well as some faint vanilla character. Taste is equally impressive, with sweet apples, vanilla and sweet bourbon. This is a well balanced whiskey cask aged cider. Want to cellar a bottle to try next year.

The aroma is apples, peeled with the skins, and light whiskey. The appearance is opaque yellow, no real head. The flavor is apple, sweet, very light whiskey. The finish is apple sweet, light touch of whiskey. Interesting. The whiskey is restrained, and doesn’t ruin the cider. Pretty nice.
3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Mittenator (453) - Michigan, USA - APR 14, 2013
Bottle. Odd tan with tons of chunky sediment. No head. Smells like apples, cinnamon, wood and bourbon. Prominent bourbon flavor with the apple but really spice heavy. Lighter body.

Pours cloudy yellow/straw with no head. Aroma is sour, fermented apple, light bourbon. Taste is tart and sweet apple with a hint of bourbon. Sweet, but not owerpowering in the least. Slightly dry finish. Acutally, this is quite nice. Loads of flavor for the ABV.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours hazy golden with small ring of head that dissapates fast. No lacing, medium body, low carbonation, and nice apple aroma. Taste is oak, rye whiskey, some apple, and a hint of honey, Complex cider, but it is doesn’t meld for me.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 portableparty (1596) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - MAR 29, 2013
12 oz. bottle. Pours clear pale gold/yellow with some quick white bubbles that disappear, but the second pour is hazy and murky. Aroma has sweet apples some pear and woody whiskey scents. Taste is sweet and woody with some wet cork flavors and plenty of apple and pear flavors. Palate is medium and slick with a sticky dry finish. Good cider with a lot of sugar and wood characteristics.

Booze, bourbon, oak, apples, it is just too sweet for its own damn good, slightly tangy. Also the appearance of this in unappealing.

Had this on tap at the East Nashville Beer Festival. Beautiful cloudy pour like their other offerings. Obvious floating bits swirl on the top of the tasting glass. Aromas of honey. Sweet, but not sticky and with a perfect dry finish. These guys certainly know what they are doing.
