COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lightly sparkling, crisply effervescent cider made with traditional English bittersweet cider apples sourced in the Malvern Hills of Worcestershire. Dark straw in appearance with a semi-brililant richness. The slight brettanomyces arome lends to an almost traditional farmhouse cider bouquet. Soft, subtle natural apple sweetness up front, brett and tannins mid palate move in to a slightly woody dry lingering finish.

Can. Clear golden color. Aroma of dusty apple skins. Taste is tannic fruit, dust, pepper. Not bad.

Nose is very cider heavy. Smells fresh. Taste is quite phenolic and a bit peppery. Earthy. Very dry finish. Taste hard to get past.

Can. Head is initially very small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is notes of apple juice, caramel, light notes of beef broth and plastic, hint of fusel alcohol (bug spray). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, moderately astringent. Well, I’ll be darned, one of the few Crispins I’ve tried with no trace of ammonia. Some fusel alcohol in the background, and other mild off notes, but no ammonia. I mean, sure, it’s still an ultra-simple apply juicy cider with zero allure, but considering most of their products score under 1.0, this was better than expected.

Can. A medium gold colored body with a bright white head. A light Granny Smith tart nose with some rich floral notes. This tastes lightly sweet with some green apples. This finishes like artificial sweetner and green wood. There is a little bit of straight sugar quality to the finish. This is ok, but nothing to seek out.

500ml can from Fred Meyer in S.Salem OR. $8.99 per 4 pack. Pours a darker than usual gold, initially a nice sized bubbly white head..that goes fast but leaves a good ring/lace. Ok aroma.. apples and real ones. Nice dry not to sweet taste, leaves a pleasing cooking apple bitterness in the end.Slight sourness that is nice. Quite nice on the palate..better than most ciders. Nice cider and very drinkable..i like my ciders dry and this delivers.

Can from the Davis Co-Op. Pours orange tinged gold with a few bubbles. Aroma is much more like fresh apples than most ciders. It’s a little earthy - maybe that’s the brett. Near med body. Flavor is a little earthy, very apple skin astringent. Quite dry. Overall a pretty tasty cider for pasteurized.

Basic cider with a red apple flavor. Clean and crisp. It is somewhat dry. Basic drinking, but nothing that would "wow" you.

It is called Brown’s Lane? That is funny - I thought it said Brouwijlane or something Dutch like that. Typically non-existent aroma. Cute light orange pour and a decent-looking label. The flavor is dry, as advised, but not very interesting - it is pleasant enough, with a very light, lemony sulfur tingle. Like lots of ciders, it is not bad but nothing to get excited over.

From a can poured a golden color with a small amount of head. Light dry cider flavor with a lingering bitter finish.

Can thanks to Jay. Pours gold with white head. Nose/taste of bitter apple, wood, honey and straw. Mild alcohol finish. Medium body.
