COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lightly sparkling, crisply effervescent cider made with traditional English bittersweet cider apples sourced in the Malvern Hills of Worcestershire. Dark straw in appearance with a semi-brililant richness. The slight brettanomyces arome lends to an almost traditional farmhouse cider bouquet. Soft, subtle natural apple sweetness up front, brett and tannins mid palate move in to a slightly woody dry lingering finish.

Very good. I think I like this better than the original Crispin Cider. Nice smooth taste. Very refreshing

Can at the Casanova Beer Cave festival. Light gold pour witha small white head. Apple and vinegar come through, and it has a dry finish.

Pour out of can is clear yellow with thin white head, aroma brought notes of dry vanilla, apple and some slight biscuit and caramel. Taste is slight dry oak and vanilla, hints of apple skins and green apple with a hint of tart, touch of caramel, finishing fairly dry. Decent.

Bottle. Ripe juicy apple aroma which reminds me of an orchard in fall. Clear golden yellow. Yeasty apple flavor with a slightly dry finish. Almost like a lightly sweet sparkling apple wine. Light carbonated body.

Maybe I got this I’m not sure. It just says crispin cider on the board. Smells like apples. initial taste of apples, later taste of cough syrup.

Golden body, but flat, albeit with some bubbling up around the circumference. Quite acidic nose with undeniable apple cider vinegar. The body is a blend of apple juice and cider vinegar. Despite being labeled as a "dry cider", this one is wet and juicy. A worthwhile departure from the run-on-the mill dry cider. This one’s got character.

500 ml can purchased at US Liquor and Wine in Minnetonka, Minnesota . The pour is clear golden, with tons of fine carbonation bubbles, and a fizzy white head that falls fast. The aroma is softly funky acidic apple peel, soft sweet apple fruit and an interesting yeastiness. Taste is soft apple fruit, spiced, then the funk and a brett yeast dry finish. After taste shows some of the sweet apple with the acidic funk. Palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation, gentle and dry finish. Its the dry yeasty wild finish that makes this. Enjoyable.

This looks like a glass of carbonated apple juice and actually has something of a lasting head--barely. It smells of perhaps slightly overripe apples and a soft, subtle spice w/ a touch of phenolic weirdness around the edges. It tastes slightly sweet and has a bit softer than champagne-like carbonation. There is a certain mild wild character to this that recalls lambic to some extent. I’d put it maybe halfway between a Norman cider and a sweet apple-flavored-soda type of American cider. Not bad. There are certainly worse ciders out there.

Appearance: clear bubbly enticement. White collar of tiny bubbles tightly packed. Pure straw hue shines like golden grains under a summer sun.
Nose: crushed pressed pulped apples. Bitterness of skins and seeds in the back. Bit of apple acidity zips and zests. Plump crisp grapes in the back – pinot grigio and oaked chardonnay.
Palate: sweet then grape and apple orchard musk, skin, and the presence of ready to pick fruits. Apple pulp. Parching finish. Oaked chardonnay followed by sauvignon and pinot grigio. Bitterness of grape skins and apple skins. Farm quality – burlap sacks, husks, farm dust. Seasonal harvest. Subtle bitterness along the edges and in the finish.
Final Thoughts: and it comes in a can!!! The original Crispin is nice but I really liked this particular cider. It had the soul of the harvest, grapes and apples ripe on the vine and the branch, ready for picking, crushing, fermenting, and drinking. Delicious! A cider I’d have any day, any time.

Clear golden yellow color with a ring of white foam around the glass. A light tartness and Brett funk to the aroma, quite nice actually. Some sweet apple notes and a touch of earthiness. The flavor has a hint of rubber, but otherwise is good. Pronounced Brett flavor and an interesting flavor of apple skins.

Sample at 2012 Columbia World Beer Festival. Not a bad cider - bubbley and sweet but not sickeningly so. Unfortunately for this cider it was blown away by a local cider-maker also offering samples at the festival. Also can’t say that I’m much of a cider person anyway.
