7/21/11 crispin joan of arc bottle. Hazy yellow with a spritzy white head. A light lemon, tart apple, sulfur, woody, wine/champagne vinegar and something green/leafy. F is the same but w/apple-y sweetness and cream. Add notes from orleans.... Way sulfury. Creamy yet crisp... very neat-o. 7.5/4/7/4/16+

Growler from Five Points Growler in Athens: Aroma was great, very crisp and apple-esque with a definite backbone from the Sav barrels, however, the taste seemed very watered down and thin palate wise.

Wonderful, full nose that promised all kinds of yummy, and then it hits your tongue and, POW!, it’s just gone- no body and very little flavour at all.

On tap @ Whole Foods Park Lane. Hazy golden pour with very little head. Aroma is slightly funky with crisp apples and oak. Flavor is vinous and slightly tart with a dry finish. The Sauvignon Blanc barrel added an interesting dimension to this cider and I enjoyed it.

On tap. Pours with a hazy straw yellow body with a somewhat lasting white head. Aromas are sweet, apple sauce, jammy with some interesting aromatics. Green apple, grassy, estery, light barrel. Sweet overall. Flavors are herbal, a bit of sage, and sweet apple. Light bubbles, a bit sticky.

The pour is a very pale yellow color with a soapy white head. It’s got an a very fresh apple note to it. There’s a crisp, "green" character to it with a moderate sweetness and only a mild wine aroma. The wine and grapes stand out a bit more on the flavor. There’s a bit of yeast and (not surprisingly) lots of apples. It’s decently sweet and pretty nice to drink.

Growler from Whole Foods Market Glen Allen, VA shared at the 15th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering, 7/16/11. Pours a hazy amber color with a thin head that fades immediately. Aroma of apples and wood notes. The taste is tart apples, wine and brown sugar. Medium bodied. Damn good cider.

On tap at City Beer. Very pale clear greenish-straw in color with no head. The aroma has apple and white grape, oak, and some caramel sweetness. The flavor is also mildly sweet but still somewhat dry, with white wine, green apple, almonds, and caramel. Medium-light body with little carbonation and a rather smooth miuthfeel. Overall an enjoyable -bal aged cider.

On tap; poured a clear, pale gold. Aroma of apple, vinegar, wine; quite sweet. Mild flavor, mellowed by the barrel. Wine and apple notes. Easy cider to drink.

Happy to try this at the Richmond Gathering. Light hazy yellow. Aroma is slightly of grapey gooseberry and apple. This is clearly where the sauvignon blanc barrels had their influence. Flavor is apple. Refreshing, dry, enjoyable.
