12oz twist-off bottle. Hazy yellow color, thin white head. Huge aroma of booze. Smells like rum! Hint of apple and loads of oak. Some Saké aromas as it warms. Flavors of apple juice, rye spice, whiskey aged oak, and barrel aged whiskey. Spicy tingle on the palate. Nice fresh apple character. Very well developed juice. Long lingering flavor of whiskey long after the juice has been long gone. HUGE WHISKEY character. A bit of burn in the end. Smooth, clean. Very special and worth every penny. I could easily pay $20+ on this 12oz bottle. AMAZING.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Yellow/goldish color. Tart apple aroma (a bit Granny Smith-ish), honey, light fruit and vanilla. Flavor is sweet honey and apple, but a dry slightly spiced finish. Vanilla and oakiness is noticeable, but not overpowering. Really enjoyed it.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
$5 bottle from New Beer. Ommegang chalice.
Cloudy wheat color; still.
Slightly smokey, apple jack, minerally, strudel scent.
So much subtler then the Tennessee Whiskey edition. Pie/juice apples, yeast, faint hints of whiskey, bit stronger on straight vanilla. Moderate acidity, almost no tartness. It needed bolder apples, & the wit yeast didn’t do much for me either. The barrels notes were very nice, though I didn’t get much spiciness from them.
Still, yeasty/itchy body, mild alcohol(for what it is).
Only 130 calories & very mild. I would enjoy glugging this cold.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a very hazy yellow color with a loose head that fades quickly.
The aroma is bourbon, red apple, apple brandy, mild banana, and light earthy citrus rind. A weird combo that works pretty well here.
The flavor is tart and a tad sweet, but less so than practically every other Crispin cider I’ve tried. The cider is earthy and a tad funky, the dominant flavor is red apple and some bitter apple rind. Amazingly light on the whiskey character considering the aroma.
The palate is prickly with a smooth but lingering finish.
This is a very different cider, I wouldn’t mind seeing more like it.

Pours hazy yellow orange, lots of sediment. Scents of honey and Apple, smoke and yeast. First taste of granny smith apples, hints of honey with a crisp acidity. Slightly bready yeast pervades the taste. Finishes very smokey with charred wood and whiskey notes. Took a break and let the drink warm up in the glass, whiskey tones begin to come out very strongly.

Bottle shared with my lovely wife. Pours a very hazy and cloudy gold with no head really aside from while it pours. Sweet fruit, a very faint hint of banana, warm rice, wood. Very complex on the nose. Quite interesting. Medium bodied, banana, warm apple compote, the faintest hint of whiskey. Vanilla and smooth wood, slow cooked apples. Really lovely stuff.
