COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
True to its name, Cristal tastes at first almost like spring water; then comes a clean bit of hop bitterness; and a crisp, finish. It is a beautifully refreshing beer, lightly cleansing on the palate, with the appetising dryness that define the Pilsener style. Cristal pours with a very creamy head, leaving excellent lacing. Serve it lightly chilled as though it were a good Chardonnay.

From tap at Domus. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Mild cornish and caramel malty aroma. Mild sweetend malt flavoured. Subdued caramel mixed with a light metallic note. Medium dry and light fruity finish. Decent.

Shared this with Oldrtybastrd. This poured a pale golden with a little white head. This had a little skunky aroma but tasted good for what it is.

Bottled, pasteurised, 250ml from BEERmerchants, Kent.
Pale gold with white head, carbonisation. Quite a sharp, tinny start to this, a breadcrust malt with a yeasty background. Cleans up after a while and sharp citric notes come through with a dry bitterness. Not disastrous unless you are stuck with the early flavour.

On tap at De Groote Witte Arend, Antwerpen.
Pale golden coloured, airy white head, dusty hoppy nose. Weak malty, and hoppy with salty and bready notes. Some grainy notes in the finish.Drinkable but in other hand typical industrial beer.

On tap in Bruges. A bit skunky smelling pilsener, grainy and sharp. Dry and drinkable.

Possibly the least tasty Belgian lager--a bit of grain in the taste, but little else of note. Lacking in any personality, soul or taste--was fortunate that it was served cold at the very least!

Draught. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Nice lace. Aroma is vegetables, some malts and hops. Flavour is malts, hops and yeast. HAs pretty much a pils should have and is wellbalanced. The carbonation bites bigtime though, being very crisp.

Clear golden with medium white head. Swert fruity aroma with caramel notes. Sweet flavor with fruit and cardboard. No hops.

50 cl can, bought in shop in Oostende. Golden color, ok white head. Aroma is grainy malt. Flavor is malt and sweetness, not much bitterness. Boring.

Can 25 cl. Pours a pale golden with a medium white head and not much aroma, but at least it is not a bad smell. The taste is watery, smooth maltiness with some alcohol and a a velvetty mouthfeel. Finish has a bit of hoppy bitterness, nothing special. Pretty good for a pilsener, but not thát special.
