3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap. Clear golden, fluffy white head with very good retention for a lager. Aroma starts malty, then hoppy but slightly musk. Taste start with some sweet-ish malt, then a very crisp bitterness emerges and takes you into a nice hoppy bitter finish. Somewhat watery, but what lager isn’t? Very very refreshing. Good lager!

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Pale yellow body, minimal head. Aroma has weak farty/cardboardy hop extract. Thin palate. Papery taste. Not refreshing, not good. Might even be a pilsner but a pretty bad one in this form.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 4/20
*Old rating, best before 20.09.07. Fresh, crisp and watery pils. Not too deep, easy to drink, hints of sweetish grain.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Classic Belgian pale lager, one of the first of its kind in this country. Michael Jackson dubbed this Belgium’s best pale lager but the current day version is just another pale golden, fizzy beer with medium, snow white head and grainy aroma with just a faint hint of grassy hops (notably stronger in the past). Malt sweetish and grainy taste, minerally carbo, thin mouthfeel, clean with mild grassy hop bitterishness in the finish. Has become as unremarkable as its congeners, but the 1928 version made in 2008 to commemorate its birthday and which allegedly had to represent the original version, was notably better. Well, nothing lasts forever, I suppose.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
250ml bottle (Wines of Galilee, Tallinn)
Smells like a cheap LA, corny. My god, it looks pitifully pale. Rough chemical acrid palate, thin and fizzy. Scrape it off the tongue. Deffo in the horror zone.
