The tast is truly like itís name Cristal clean and fresh, classic pilsner. Decent hops and a fine malt nose with a trace of the hop flowers. terrific beer, hard to find here. Got mine from a beer club.

Oh my, does this baby go down smooth and easy. The body is extremely soft and gentle, drying out just a bit towards the end. I could drink this pilsner by the tankard for days on end.

One of the best Belgian pilseners. Pale golden colour & nice bitterness, which is hard to find in other Belgian pilseners (now brewing for the Coca-Cola generation). Very good combination of maltiness / bitterness and a little dry at the end. My favourite Belgian ípintjeí. Gentle and TASTEfull

Just yesterday I told someone from Belgium that they brew the best beers in the world but that they canít brew a good pilsener. And guess what happened: today Iím trying Cristal Alken and I like it! The aroma is not a good start. Just a bit malty. Itís pale golden with a nice head but nothing special. Itís fresh and light, malty and hops. In the end a little bitter. Good pilsener.

Pils from Northern Belgium, in advertisement called íthe pearl of Limbourg.í Fresh, easy drinking. Not too bitter, not sour, not too sweet either. Perfect beer for watching soccer on TV.

6th March 2010. Pale gold beer that is very slightly hazy. A thin white head. Light carawayish malt. Crisp, fresh, light. A decent lager! Thanks to Harrisoni for introducing me to something that goes down easy at the end of along days drinking or tasting. Cheers Ian!

An oily surface, no oxidized Saaz stench, a hardy soft feel, this is Pilsener done right -- too bad this is a rare interpretation. This is the best Pils Iíve ever had. I think my second favorite Pils is from Bavaria. Just like the IPA and pizza, the pilsener is done best right now outside of its depressed homeland. It certainly makes sense.
