No doubt this will be nice in the hot cuban sun. But apart from that, it is a watery and boring beer.

Lys brun klar med lavt hvitt skum som forsvinner fort. Honning og maltlukt. Vannete med noe sødme og lett, lett bitter avslutning. Mye kullsyre

Bottle at a tapas bar. Pale yellow pour, sweetish grainy pour, some unfermented sugars, hay and soap. Strange brew, but not as bad as the ratings made me fear. Probably the ambiance.

Drank quite a lot of this stuff on a holiday in Cuba. Crystal cleat pale yellow coloured pour with a fleeting effervescent white head. Aroma is grainy with a slight apple notes and plenty a lager yeast character. Palate is pretty abrassive carbonation, light and somewhat refreshing. Flavour is pale grains, some evident adjunct, rice and a semi sweet grain. No hops detected. Some carbonic acid bite in the finish. Pretty clean and inoffesive. Helped me out on the some of the 35C and 100% humidity days. Exactly what i needed.

Bottle. Light golden, small and fully diminishing head. Light, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, light cardboard and faint - light hoppyness. Body is light, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light metal and faint hoppyness. Finish is short, malty and dryish, light metal and faint hoppyness. Watery lager with notes of sharp metal- that’s it.

Well this is an interesting find, I suppose due to import restrictions you probably can't find this in the USA, so along with my authentic Cuban cigars I figured I'd try some authentic Cuban beer while in Europe. Unfortunately, this Caribbean lager tastes like communism, i.e. a shoddy industrial mass-produced product that doesn't stand up in a competitive market. Even from a fresh bottle, this beer pours a cheap yellow color and offers a bland and slightly sweet grainy aroma and taste. Ridiculously fizzy with a short-lived soapy head, thin bodied. Nothing positive to say about it, other than it's clean finishing. Still a corny aftertaste. Actually this brew is so unappealing it almost makes you want to continue the embargo just to keep it out of our market. I wonder if Fidel ever drinks this? Drink it once for the novelty, but not again.

Can. Pours a clear pale straw with a minimal fizzy white head. The nose is light corn with just a bit of pale malt. The taste is pretty similar, very thin and watery with a corn laced finish, that when it started off ice cold actually seemed fairly clean. It morphed into the usual Pale Lager lingering corn and cardboard finish though after it warmed a bit. Light bodied and fizzy with a watery texture. About what was expected, tough it was tolerable when it was real cold.

September 6, 2014 - can shared by theydon_bois with me and harrisoni. Pale gold, minimal head, smells and tastes pretty dull but not horrible - slightly grassy, on the sweet side, not much alcohol or harshness, a little PVC in there. Light body, average carbonation, a little weedy character in the finish - I’ve had worse.
