COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle and keg, special
Brewed in collaboration with Craig Allan
A pitch black beer with a creamy white head (the “stout” part) coupled with very low alcohol content and a massive American hop charge (the “Un” part).

To make this small beer with huge flavour we used a large proportion of flaked barley and oats into the mash to give plenty un-fermentable sugars which help provide body to the finished beer – a well known challenge to brewers making low alcohol beers. Also in the mash was roast barley and roast rye to give us the black colour and slight roast flavour. We then hopped it radically using an awesome mix of Cascade, Columbus and Chinook. The final beer is 2%abv and crammed full of flavours!

Bottle courtesy of Mane Liquor. Roasted malts, grain and citrus aromas, pours black with very little head, fruity flavour with a mild bitter aftertaste, unusual balance but still very nice.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. For a 2% beer, this is insanely good. Comes across quite citrus driven with a mild sweetness behind a lightly roasted body. An absolute quaffer as you’d expect for a 2% beer but the amount of flavour bursting out of this is incredible. Well done

Garlic_of_Doom (448) - SWEDEN - JUL 22, 2014
Black with a beige head. Aroma has herbs, grass and citrus. Taste is dry chocolatey and roasted. Thin body, soft carbonation. Short dry after taste.
Unusal aroma for a stout but then again, it’s a Unstout.

Bottle. Dark brown, not much head. The aroma us good - lots of fruity, leafy hop as well as toast, dark choc and muscovado. Body is modest and the palate is roasty...with a bit of harshness. In that sense, I’d prefer more sweetness.
