Bottle from Cornelius. Pours amber, orange, very little head. Malty with lots of caramel nose, some citrus. Pretty resinous. Medium bitter start, slightly sour finish. Much more drinkable as keg at the Bat earlier in the week

Keg at Hanging Bat, Edinburgh. Clear amber colour, thin white foam head and aroma of malt caramel balanced with ctrusy hoppy notes. Taste is sweetish crystal malt & caramel, with tropical fruit mango and grapefruit bitterness with some pine notes. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable IPA.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Beer Flight choice at the Hanging Bat, keg, one-third pint measure. Reddish brown coloured body, next to clear. Tiny layer, laces well. Fruity nose added by a touch of rhubarb. Red fruity flavours joined by grapefruit and caramel malts. Resinous bitter ending. Pretty nice, quite heavy to drink though (Edinburgh 10.08.2013).

500ml Bottle - Amber/copper with a foamy head. Pine, grapefruit, toffee and a hint of dried fruit in the aroma. Hoppy and slightly sweet taste with a good balance of hops, malt and notes of pine, grapefruit and dried apricot. The finish is very pleasant and lingers for quite a while.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
500ml bottle from The Beerhive.
Frothy white head disappears quickly, little lacing. Body is dark, reddish amber. Nose of caramel, honey, ripe fruit. Flavour has lots of bitter hops, citrus fruit particularly grapefruit coming through. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is a little thin with a fair bit of carbonation. Another fine beer from Cromarty.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lovely orange red colour, with a quickly diminishing white head. Aroma is heavy pine, spruce, citrus hops. Taste is sweet at first with a bitter, long lasting resin-like astringent finish - this is a tiny-tad too much for my liking - not that it tastes bad, but I wish the finish was a bit less sharp. NIce oily texture with a medium carbonation. Overall a pretty good beer.

Bottle at home courtesy of dantheman, cheers!
Pours hazy copper amber with fluffy towering white head. Dry herbal notes on the nose swiftly followed by juicy tropical passion fruit and mango. Medium carbonation, fairly medicinal bitterness but a long juicy finish. Enjoyable but perhaps a bit one sided to the hops.
