3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
50 cl bottle.
Pours almost black color with a reddish tint on the sides and small off-white head. Aroma is quite nice and sweet with milky chocolate, coffee is there too but not overly powerful, faint vanilla on the background. Flavor is also smooth and chocolaty, vanilla, some toasty malts and cocoa. Very smooth and tasty.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On cask at Craft kitchen. Appearance: pitch black, medium tanned head. Aroma: a little coffee and chocolate, some spice. Mild. Flavour: coffee again, quite mild with a nice lacing of chocolate and wood. Short coffee finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled 500ml (AbM)
Deep ruby color, small steady beige head. Coffeish-ashy nose. Light-bodied. Toasted malty, tobacco ashy (from coffee?) then some licorice in the finish. Tobacco ash is not my favourite flavor in beer but behind that, it is decent light stout.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at Cask P&K. Thin black pour with a red tinge, bubbly beige head endures a couple of minutes. Smell is rich espresso initially, but this is harder to pick up later on. Body is thin, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is watery malts with a stronger coffee presence. A touch of vegetable and drying resin in the background. Ultra drinkable. Watery but tasty nonetheless. My pint disappeared in seconds flat.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark bodied, with frothy head. Coffee? Not quite so much for me, but it is nice aromatic for the abv. Unique to, with toffee and cacao notes, but also a Vienna like bready bite. Taste is as expected, which is a good think, and reveals a well developed yeast underlying the juicy tasty malts. Hops are always there to support. Very pleasant carbonation that keeps you sipping. Very nice accessible and well made. (50cl bottle from La Cave à Bulles)

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours almost totally black, with a thin beige head.
Roasted aroma, coffee, chocolate, ashes, licorice, caramel.
Off-dry, medium to full bodied, mid bitterness, balanced CO2.
Roasted, slightly acidic taste, coffee beans, dark chocolate, ashes, licorice root, earth, caramel.
Finish on a robust note, but very drinkable nevertheless. Very good for 4,7% ABV. (2014-01-24)

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a small beige head, which lasts reasonably well without leaving much lacing. Coffee grounds, mild cocoa and roasty malt make up the aroma. Mild citrus hops up front give way to a cold coffee flavour in the mid-palate, with coffee chocolate to finish. This is not a terribly well-executed coffee stout. It’s passable, but certainly not exciting.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle shared at home. Dark brown with a decent tan head. Coffee aromas, not surprisingly, some biscuit malt. Taste has more of the same, bitter coffee finish. OK.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle. Ruby red glowing, almost black colour with average, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Dark malty aroma with notes of cold coffee. Taste is roasty dark malty, notes of cold coffee, subtle sweetness; dry, hoppy finish. Light and slightly watery. Relatively simple but nice and tasty.
