On cask at Cloisters. Pours a very dark brown colour with a decent beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and caramel. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a creamy mouth-feel.

Pours a black colour with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, milk coffee and strong earthiness. Rich flavour of roasted malts, bitter dark chocolate, coffee, peppery spiciness, earth and biscuit. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a peppery, earthy, roasty finish. Extremely rich, yet mild.

Bottle from Cornelius Beer Edinburgh. This is a very dark brown beer with red highlights. It has a strong, rich floral coffee flavour with hints of red fruit and chocolate and roasted notes on the finish. Excellent!

Bottle from The Beerhive. Black body with a thin beige head. Great lacing. Aroma of espresso, Twiglets and fig. Flavour of coffee, peppery spice and vanilla. Medium body with a watery, slightly frothy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. A lovely, moreish Stout with coffee and peppery flavours.

Poured dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of big, big coffee and roast malt. Full body for the strength, flavour is smooth dark chocolate amd more of the coffee. Lovely little beer.

Bottle from Scopey within European local swap II. Very dark brown color with thick beige head. Strong coffee aroma with roasted malt, dark chocolate and some sourness. Roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice. Coffee bitter finish. Good.

Draught (Hanging Bat, Edinburgh) - Black in colour. Coffee, roasted malt and chocolate in the aroma. Smooth and roasted taste with roasted malt, coffee and liquorice detected. Beautiful.

Deep red, almost black, with a thin beige head. Aroma is stong coffee, with a hint of chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is light sweet with a medium bitter finish, light sourness too. Very thin texture for a stout, and light-medium carbonation.

Pours dark ruby mahogany with vanilla icecream head and lightly smoky, cocoa nose. Some smoked bacon and chipotle character up first followed by a very savoury coffee flavour, light bodied, long toasty finish. Medium carbonation. A different take on a coffee stout.

pours black with brown fringes, with a medium off white head which soon dissipates, aroma is metallic coffee, caramel malts, tiny bit earthy. taste is light coffee, milk chocolate, finishes with a clean bitter edge. body alot lighter body than I would like. still a very nice beer.
