Craft Islington. Clear gold beer, little white head. Light palate, mild carbonation. Decent but mild hops - pronounced tangerine with a tiny bit of skunk. Finishes semi dry. Simple stuff done very well. Really like the tangerine.

Cask conditioned handpump Southampton Arms London 08/09/12. A golden coloured beer with a white head and lace. Good fruity citrussy hoppy flavours. Good sharpness in the hops in the nose. The malts edge towards sweetness but do balance quite nicely. Refreshing and tasty.

Cask at Craft Beer Co. - Islington, London. Pours clear gold with a fine, white cap. Melon and jammy citrus in the nose. Light sweet flavor with sweet fruits and light sticky grass. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Lightly dry on the finish with lime, citrus and straw. Nice, although the condition is sub-par. I’m sure this could be better.

Half-pint, cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington. Clear copper coloured body, bubbly ring to the rim of the glass. Fresh smell of citrus fruits. Super fresh fruity taste with peaches and pineapples. Smooth bittersweet ending. Lightly oily palate. Clean in the mouth. Well made (London, 26.11.2012).

Draft on a number of occasions, including originally at the brewery. It pours golden orange/amber, with a medium white head. The nose is like tropical fruit juice: orange, mango, pineapple and passion fruit. The taste is passion fruit, orange, grapefruit, zesty lemon, pineapple and grass, with a decent malt backbone and bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Delicious and packed full of flavour for this percentage.

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2012 On cask at Cloisters. Pours a golden colour with a decent white head. A lovely hoppy aroma of pine, pineapple, caramel and yeast. Similar flavours with mild bitterness. Not particularly thin given the abv with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Lingering pineapple and passion fruit again.

[cask at Inn Deep, Glasgow] On cask at the Inn Deep launch night. Pours clear golden amber with a head of lazy bubbles, due to the lack of pressure in the font (which was quickly adjusted for other customers). Very prominent grapefruit and citrus aroma, orange and passion fruit. Extremely fruity, and at 3.8%...hmm…what other beer does this remind me of…? It’s actually more tropical than the grapefruit and lemony Jarl – but it’s a real belter. Craig knows what he’s doing, my goodness [07092012]
