[500ml test bottle] Big thanks to Craig for this, one of only three test-bottles of Midge Beater. Pouts a slightly hazy apricot orange, with a decent fluffy white head. He was wondering how carbonated it would be - steady rising streams seem to indicate more than he expected! The nose is sweet and tangy at the same time, I’m not sure what bog myrtle smells like, but there’s a slight floral perfume to it. The myrtle is clearly evident on the taste - sweet, sappy, almost like Williams Nollaig with the sprucey aftertaste. Very perfumed on the aftertaste, which is long, floral and slightly soapy. Really interesting, but (apologies Craig), not my thing [17032013]

keg at the bat ... copper ... thin lacing ... soft fruit ... herbal tone .... light red berry fruityness ... little dry .. litle too fizz for me ... juicysweet fruits ... juicy berries ... soft toffee ... interesting but not hitting any sweet spots
