Pours a deep pinkish red color. Slight white head that sticks around and leaves no lacing. Sour cherry smell. Almost artificial like Sucrets brand throat lozenges. Tastes the same. Slightly tart and slightly sweet at the same time. Puckering in the mouth after swallowing. Decent. This is almost the same profile as the original Transatlantique. There is a slight bitter aftertaste. Decent beer.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Slightly unclear reddish color, small off - white head that diminishes almost instantly. Smell krieken, slightly sourish and sweetish at the same time. Taste sour cherries, a touch of sweetness, dry. Although I was having a bit of a hard time holding it down in the beginning it’s actually a very good beer.

Bottle, thanks to Leighton, at the 500 miles tasting, Ches Mois, the Sham, 23/03/13. Clear reddish brown with a very thin white head that clears edgeward. Nose is sweet cherry drops, sugars, more cherry drops! Taste is sweet sugars, berry fruits, cherry jam. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, sweet and slightly cloying in the finish. Overall - too sweet !

Bottle at the 500 Miles Tasting, the Sham - one of mine. Pours clear pink with little foamy head. Sugary cherry nose, hints of dry fruits, light to medium sweet flavor, mellow tangy cherries, hints of bitter pits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish, some pleasant dryness, decent cherry character. I like it.

Bottle from the early 2000’s. Hazy red/brown liquid with small light pink head. Aroma of acetone, cherries, bread, wood, some feces, earthy funk and minerals. Taste is dry and light to medium sour with notes of cherries, wood and minerals. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. Ok but too old.

Countbeer (2854) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - NOV 2, 2012
Bottle: Small sized, pretty quick changing (into a thin lacing) off white ashy head on top of an almost clear red colored beer. Smell loads and loads of cherries. Smells like those uber sweet krieks. Luckily the taste proves different, lovely tart with cherries, berries, yeast and some malts. Not much else. The tartness changes slowly into a more malty bitterness which tends to go to nasty but stops on the border. Aftertaste is some cherries with malts, bitters, dust and some light yeast tones. Low carbo, soft light dry mouthfeel, good medium body and a light watery texture.

TheCametron (1296) - CZECH REPUBLIC - OCT 3, 2012
Bottle at Ben’s. Rosy Amber. Aroma is like no other beer I’ve tried. Haribo fizzy cherries from the Tangfastic bag. Jammy. Slightly sour. So Fruity. Brilliant.
