A ruby coloured beer traditionally full of body. A malty taste with a subtle hint of cascade hops for flavour. For beer drinkers with a sense of aviation history who like their beer malty and rich.

Direct from Brewery. Dark gold in colour with a minimal white head; earthy aroma; earthy malt flavour; and a dry lightly bitter finish. A pleasant bitter.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival, May 2008. Hazy amber. Surprisingly citric aroma - orange marmalade. Quite bitter Seville orange flavour. Mouthfeel has a firm bitterness, a little astringent on the finish. Not bad at all. Didn’t find much malty or fruity character myself, so perhaps a little more balance would not have gone amiss for some drinkers .

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.
Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, damp-stained, light hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (020508)

A Mes rate: Gravicask @ Reading Beer Festival. Solid brown colour with a decent head. Alcoholic marzipan nose with toffee and slight fruit and hops. Fruity notes come on strong in the flavour with some nice late hops too. Slightly watery in the mouth. Unusual dry yet sweet finish.
