Cask @ the Magpie BRentford: my first god damn rate in God damn ages. A lovely mocha beige kinda head above blackness, pretty dark for a textbook porter. rich kiss of coffee dark chocolate roasted malt. pretty floral in the backdrop and rather dry. A pretty smooth and compact porter.

Gravity at the CPFC beer festival, 2013. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Christ Iíve got to enter the digital rating world when Iím out and about, my writingís atrocious! Seemingly the aroma is toffee, dark plums?? or is it chocolate? has to be chocolate. Canít cope with this shorthand. Flavours of coffee and chocolate. Quite a sweet little number. Dry finish. Not too bad.

Cask conditioned handpump Masque Haunt London 19/03/13. A very very dark brown coloured beer with an off-white to beige coloured head and lace. A sweet chocolatey fruity porter. Good hop levels. Tasty with a nice body. Sweeter than most porters but very palateable.

Mild porter despite the strength which is hidden in its texture. Black with no head and a deeper aroma than taste. Manages to be crisp but is a little dry in its aftertaste.

Cask in the Goodmans Fields Spoons.Clear dark red - brown beer. Short pale tan head. Smooth and slightly dry palate. Somewhat insipid dark malt, very mild. A little tangy chocolate. Semi dry finish. Drinkable but pretty dull and a pint was more than enough.

Cask at The Gunmakers, Clerkenwell, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Aroma of dark fruit and caramel. Tastes of dark fruit, caramel, malty, slightly bitter. It is OK but lacking in something.
