From tap at Lord Nelson. Pours dark brown to black with a minimal tan head. Vanilla, roasted malt, chocolate and light liqourice aroma. Dense chocolate and roasted malt flavoured with a distinct bourbon note and smooth vanilla notes. Bitter and hardroasted malt acidity into the finish. Lasting roasted flavours an vanilla/chocolate into the far finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap, March 2009 Lord Nelson. Near jet black color with a thinner tan head. Roasted coffee and a touch of whisky really dominated the aroma, but in a good way. Fresh roasted coffee in the flavor, the bourbon was pretty subtle but a nice addition. Dryish finish. Subtle carbonation and a bit thinner than appearance would suggest, but carried the flavors well. Nice and satisfying.

Draught. Black colour with a small lasting head. Nice roasty sweet chocolate pleasant aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has roasted malt with chocolate and some bourbon along with a pleasant bitter choco finish. Roasty chocolate finish. Yum!
