200ml on tap at Schouskjelleren. One-finger, foamy head, fawn-coloured, covering a near-black body. Smoked malty aroma with hints of bitter fruits. Tart and smoked flavour added by a bite of cold coffee. Dry on the swallow. Comfortable, if not quite there (Oslo, 12.12.2011).

Fra fat på Olympen, Oslo 1 Nov 11. Kullsort. Lavt mokkafarget kremaktig skum som fester seg til glasset. Behagelig sjokolade & lakrisaroma med undertone av røyk. Mer røyk - og sjokolade i smaken. Fin bitter vri i ettersmaken. Litt for mye kullsyre.

Draught@Mikkeller Bar (Aug 8th, 2011). Very deep brown colour (close to black), mediumsized creamy beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, some slight ashes and chocolate. Flavour is smoked wet wood, some coffee, chocolate, mild roasted notes as well as some ashy notes. Some slight interesting sweetish sour notes in it as well. Pleasantly balanced and perfectly drinkable.

On tap at Olympen. Black with a creamy, light brown head. Refined smoked malts aroma. In the mouth roasted and smoked caramel, hints of iodine. A beer for the advanced.

@ ACBF 2011. The aroma has black maltiness, coffee, roast, bacon. Black coloured beer with an off-white-beige head. The taste has coffee, roast and smoke. It ends dry and bitter. Nice.

Pours black with a creamy brown head. Aromas of smoked charcuteries, coffee, toasted malt and toffee. Creamy and rich body dominated with roasted malt and chocolate. Nice stout.

Murky black with a nice, medium, staying, creamy, beige head. Fine duration. Aroma has coffee, dark chocolate, oak, mild roasted notes. Subdued smokiness. Medium carbonation, light and very dry mouthfeel. Flavour has good dryness, coffee, dry oaky smoke, tar.Lingering, malty dry and quite bitter finish. Light astringency in the far finish. Nice beer.

Had this one at the ACBF 2011. Black colored brew. Smokyness in the aroma, flavor has smoke, roasted malts, coffee. A bit plain.

Very dark, black color. Smell is really smoked, really roasted. Kind of sour campfire smell, little over the top if you ask me. Influences the taste as well. Average carbonation.
